Located within the South Downs National Park, Clapham and Patching Village Hall and Recreation Ground is very conveniently located on the A280 (Long Furlong) near the A27 junction. Both hall and grounds enjoy extensive views across the National Park towards the South Downs, Patching Pond and Highdown.

The building features 2 large French windows looking out over the extensive grounds and beyond. Despite being located on a main road the hall enjoys a surprisingly peaceful location.

The facilities are extensively used by villagers and local societies as well as many others who have discovered the benefits offered of the hall.

There is a small committee room available for hire either separate from, or together with, the main hall and all the facilities are located on the ground floor, including a disabled toilet. Disabled access is via the front door; both the Main Hall and Committee Room are accessible by wheelchair.

There is a good hard surfaced car park to the rear of the hall.

The twin downland villages of Clapham and Patching are located either side of the road and most village clubs and societies are common to both.  Both villages feature ancient churches, Clapham Church contains tiling by William Morris (known as ‘The Clapham Vine Pattern’) in contrast Patching Church is much simpler. Both are well worth a visit.

There is direct access onto two footpaths from the grounds, leading to the wide National Park network.

This picture shows an aerial view of our hall building along with the substantial car parking space and grounds.

Disabled visitors can access both the Main Hall and Committee Room via the front door.
